MathRise — Privacy Policy
This policy explains what MathRise collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect what the app needs in order to work, we do not sell it, and you can have it deleted whenever you want.
What we collect
- Account details — if you create an account, your email address and a secure hash of your password, so we can sign you in.
- Content you enter — whatever you save in the app, so it is there when you come back and on your other devices.
- Purchase records — if you buy anything, a record that the purchase happened. Apple and Google handle the payment; we never see your card details.
- Technical and usage data — app version, device type, operating system and crash reports, so we can fix faults.
Why we are allowed to use it
We process account details and content to perform our contract with you — without them the app cannot do its job. We process technical and usage data on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and secure. Where we need your consent, we ask for it and you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
Only with the suppliers who help us run the app, and only so they can do that: our hosting and database provider, our crash reporting provider, and the app stores that process purchases. They act on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, or by using our data deletion page.
Children
This app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email privacy@creativelyapps.com and we will delete it.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, to object to our using it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email privacy@creativelyapps.com and we will respond within one month.
If you believe we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
Keeping your data
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, and then delete it. Where you hold an account, your data is deleted when you delete the account.
Where your data is held
Our suppliers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the equivalent safeguards required by UK data protection law.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
